News: The Political Landscape


As we are coming to realise, Newspapers all have an agenda. Whether that is profit or ideology, each issue serves a purpose.

Read through the following document and make detailed notes on each of the political parties mentioned as we will soon be analysing the political motivations of Newspapers in Britain.

Tasks:

  1. Create a new blogpost called News: The Political Landscape of Britain and type your summaries of the political parties there.
  2. Once you have done so, research newspapers in general and try to find a headline that appears to support each of the political parties. Paste the image of that newspaper front page into your blogpost adjacent to the Political Party you believe that Newspaper supports. (You may use hyperlinks to the images if you are having trouble posting them.)
  3. Update your analysis with reference to the front page and why you believe that newspaper appears to support that political party.

The Sun, The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, The Daily Star, The Guardian, The Times, The Observer, The Independent (Online), The Mail on Sunday, The Metro, etc.
